Our company carried out the engineering of the steel structure of the elevator and the canal bridge. Earthquake engineering has been a part of the required calculations.
The elevator is of 75m high. The structure includes the access canal, the top chamber, the abutment of 90 m, the mobile containers of 130 m long and the bottom chamber. The foundation of the structure consists of a 35m³ concrete raft.
The structure, calculated using finite elements, is of 1200 tonnes of steel.
