In Tournai, the iconic Silo des Bastions site, located along the Scheldt, is about to embark on a new chapter in its history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once a symbol of the city\u2019s industrial activity, this historic site is now the subject of an ambitious redevelopment project led by Entreprise Dherte. The aim is to transform this piece of industrial heritage into a contemporary and sustainable residential development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project includes 75 housing units spread across three buildings, while preserving and highlighting several of the site\u2019s key architectural features. These include four historic silos, as well as the remarkable paraboloid: a concrete canopy with a distinctive geometric design that has become a strong architectural signature of the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bureau Pirnay is proud to contribute its structural engineering expertise to this transformation, helping preserve Tournai\u2019s industrial heritage while contributing to the creation of a new living environment for the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
