In Tournai, the iconic Silo des Bastions site, located along the Scheldt, is about to embark on a new chapter in its history.
Once a symbol of the city’s industrial activity, this historic site is now the subject of an ambitious redevelopment project led by Entreprise Dherte. The aim is to transform this piece of industrial heritage into a contemporary and sustainable residential development.
The project includes 75 housing units spread across three buildings, while preserving and highlighting several of the site’s key architectural features. These include four historic silos, as well as the remarkable paraboloid: a concrete canopy with a distinctive geometric design that has become a strong architectural signature of the site.
